Shadows Assistance Services
The Shadows Foundation mission is to provide support services and financial assistance to Flagstaff and surrounding areas in Arizona. Shadows seeks to meet the needs of individuals and family, affected by illness when they need it most.

All applicants applying for extended financial assistance must meet qualifying guidelines stipulated in Shadows Application. (See our Apply for application and guidelines)

How We Help...
Rehabilitation Services Assistance
Many illnesses have ongoing and lingering ailments. If you require rehabilitation assistance, as prescribed by your physician, the Shadows Foundation can help with cost for programs needed for rehabilitation after during recovery.
Transportation Services
Prepaid gas cards, supplied by our Sponsors and Affiliates, will be provided to individuals for transportation to and from medical facilities for treatments.

Payment for Medication & Treatment
The Shadows Foundation offers assistance with necessary medications and medical treatments prescribed by a physician which are not covered by insurance.
Utilities & Living Expenses
Everyday living expenses are not usually a concern of insurance companies. The Shadows Foundation will help you cover necessary costs of utilities such as gas, electric, and water. If you have special needs which are considered “necessary living expenses”, we may be able to help you with those as well.
Professional Services Support
These assistance services may include, but are not limited to, professional services such as house hold repairs, contractors, professional counseling, and personal home care assistance. The Shadows Foundation is networking with local businesses and service providers to provide this assistance. See our Affiliates page for more information.
Grocery Assistance
This service is available for applicants who are in need of special foods or a restricted diet due to illness.
Please be aware that funds are limited and based on availability.
Applicants must meet Shadows eligibility requirements.

from applicants physicians.
The Mission of the Shadows Foundation

Every year families in our communities have their lives affected by life threatening diseases which can lead to either loss of a loved one, or prolonged illness. As a result, they often suffer financial hardships due to compounded medical expenses, reduced earnings, and accrued household debt.

The Shadows Foundation is a nonprofit organization which is dedicated to helping these individuals and their families battling life threatening disease. Through the collaboration with local businesses, grants, generous private donors, and fund raising events, the Shadows Foundation provides financial assistance and services to those individuals and their families in times of greatest need.
